Anyone within earshot of Rodney Bingenheimer´s KROQ show has been hearing 'psychedelic boy' for a long time, and perhaps wondering who this mysterious band was, able to poke fun at the dedicated fashion-followers of the local paisley scene with a seemingly effortless light-hearted touch. As a matter of fact, these LEOPARDS, have been around since at least 1978, when they released an LP and series of 45s on the MOON label, back in Kansas where they started out.

Hi, I have sucessfully upgraded to leopard on my iMac. Smooth easy transition.

However when i tried to upgrade my partners macbook pro - i encountered a major error. 10 Mins into install my macbook ejected the disk voluntarily and crashed. I re-booted / and started up again.

Greeted by blue screen and loading icon. 30 mins later sill no signs of life. Tried a second boot - again no sucess. Third attempt I booted with 'T' - refused to acknowledge this command and many others.

Macbook is sitting looking awfully sorry for itself, blue screen, loading, please please please tell me this can be resolved:S It has applecare etc only its my partners macbook and if he finds out he will kill me - ekk Thanks. Startup with the Leopard DVD and do the installation again. This time chose 'Archive and Install'. This will clean install the system rather than upgrade it. After that all you gotta do is to copy the contents of the 'old' home folder into the new home folder. In my experience upgrading a system is ALWAYS a bad choice. Always do a clean install when possible (it is always possible) - this will save you a planet of trouble.

PS - From what I've heard using the upgrade option when installing Leopard is a 50/50 chance of success vs. You are living proof.:-)))) Good Luck.

Shut down and start up holding the Option key. This will take you to the Start-up Manager. You should then be able to insert the Install DVD and choose it to start up from. BTW, I when I first installed Leopard I (1) Repaired Permissions.

(2) Repaired Disk. (3) Chose Archive & Install.

A visit to the Genius Bar met with the advice to Erase & Install. This was done, but the issues were only completely resolved by the 10.5.1 update (from Apple Downloads, not software Update.) What more could I have done initially to avoid these problems? In my opinion I did everything 'Right'. Also the opinion of the Applecare Tech I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with.
