Daniels, I am also having trouble with this. I signed in to the Amazon Shop app in order to turn off Mobile 1-Click on my Kindle. Once I signed in I was able to place multiple orders without entering my sign-in information. But I still can't find a way to log out. Whenever I reopen the Amazon Shop app, I am already signed in. I don't want this to happen. I want to decide when I am signed in and when I am not.

Then only way I have found to 'log out' is to clear the data from the Amazon Shop app. However, if I do this and then open the Amazon Shop app, I am told that 1-Click has been enabled.

The point is that I seem to have to choose between 1) signing in to turn of 1-click and then remain signed in (which would allow anyone using the kindle to make a purchase) or 2) not signing in and leaving 1-click turned on. What I want is for 1-click to be turned off AND to have to be able to log out so that I have to en.
