As of 18:30 UTC on 1st July 2011 The kernel extensions that are the 'drivers' for Home's line of Mac keyboards and mice are not supported in Mac OS X 10.6.8. We expect iHome to release updated drivers in the near future. To use your iHome keyboard (and possibly mouse) for the time being you need to remove the iHome kernel extension(s). 1) As an Administrator go to /System/Library/Extensions/ and look for a file named iLifeKeyboard.kext 2) Make a copy of this file outside of the System folder.

3) Delete the iLifeKeyboard.kext file from /System/Library/Extensions/ 4) Restart your Mac 5) Your keyboard should now function with Mac OS X 10.6.8, however some features may be lost. (My F1-F12 keys no longer launch iTunes, Mail, and so fourth. Also, the fn key acts as an 'a' key.) This method was tested using a wired iHome USB 'Media' Keyboard. Extension names may vary between different models. As fo Mice, I am not sure of the extension name that they use. You can check your panic logs for clues but do so at your own risk.

I also cannot test this with wireless keyboards and/or mice. I assume they connect via Bluetooth so this fix should still work for them. An update will be posted when new drivers are released.
